Dr. del Campo is a Pharmaceutical Chemist from the University of Chile. He completed a Doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Faculty of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences of the same University. She has been Director of the School of Chemistry and Pharmacy at the Bernardo O`Higgins University (UBO), professor at the University of Santiago de Chile and the University of Chile. Currently, Dr. del Campo is an academic at the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy of the Catholic University of Chile, where she directs the Cellular Physiology and Bioenergetics Laboratory, whose research focus has been related to mitochondrial molecular mechanisms associated with resistance to insulin and more recently to ageing.
